FAQs

As you are researching business photographers, you will quite rightly begin to gather a list of questions that you need answering before you make the decision of who to hire. So to make things nice and easy, below is a set of frequently asked questions that will give you more insight into my photography style and process, how a shoot will be undertaken, the photo reviewing process, and payment.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?

My personal photography style is to let the subject be the star of the show. Be it either, your delicious food, a beautiful product, or even your office space, this is what you are wanting to show people. So, I simply use light, composition, and post processing to highlight the key features of the subject making it look as beautiful as possible with accurate colours, tones, and shapes. All so you are showing the customer the best version of your business’s product or space.

​WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?

I currently provide the following services: Automotive and Product. But should you have something else in mind, please don't hesitate to get in touch and I will see how I can assist. You can then use these photos however and wherever you wish! For example, magazines, websites, social media, menus, brochures, catalogues, press launches, stock listings... etc.

WHERE DO PHOTOSHOOTS TAKE PLACE?

 

Product/E-commerce clothing:

For product/E-commerce shoots, the photoshoot will take place at my photography studio. You will therefore need to send your product/s to my studio. You will be responsible for covering the delivery cost to my photo studio and back to your business. I will pay for delivery back to your business via Royal Mail Tracked 24® and then this will be added to the final price you pay. Details of where to send your product/s will be shared with you during the photoshoot planning stage.

 

All other shoots:

All other photoshoots take place wherever is most convenient for you! Typically, this is at your place of business or a location of your choice (should you want a certain setting).

​WHAT IS YOUR AVAILABILITY?​

Typically, I can accommodate Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun, 10am - 4pm, but if you're needing a shoot on another day, or outside of these hours, get in touch and I would be happy to look into it further!​

HOW DO I BOOK?

It's super simple! Please get in touch and we can begin discussing the project, objectives of the shoot, locations and dates.​​​​​​

WHAT IS THE TURNAROUND TIME OF THE PHOTOS?

All photos are different, some take more post processing than others. So the date you will receive the images by will be discussed during the discussion phase as this is crucial for you to know as a business owner, especially if there is a deadline involved to a project!

DO YOU HAVE A PHOTO REVIEW PROCESS SO I'M SURE I'M HAPPY WITH THE PHOTOS?

I certainly do! I want to make sure the photos are exactly what you want. So, after I have edited the photos, I will send you proof images over a secure WeTransfer for you to take a look at and let me know your thoughts.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE THE FINAL PHOTOS?

Once you have taken a look through the proof photos and are happy with the photos, I will send you the full resolution and unobstructed versions of the photos via a secure WeTransfer.

WHEN AND HOW DO I PAY?

There's no point in you paying before you know if your happy with the results is there! That's why you only pay when I send the final images over a secure WeTransfer (once you have approved the proof images). You will be asked to pay for the full amount that you were quoted (plus any delivery costs for product/E-commerce clothing ), via a secure payment page. Once the payment has been made, you will have immediate access to your photos!

DO YOU SUPPLY COMPRESSED AS WELL AS UNCOMPRESSED PHOTO FILES FOR WEBSITE OPTIMISATION?

Yes. Uncompressed, fully edited photos can be up to 30 MB, which is great for keeping the detail for printed media, but not so great for a website that needs to load quickly. That's why, along with the uncompressed photos, I also send you compressed versions of all the photos for you to use for your website.

DO YOU PROVIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTS?

I do! If this is something you are after I am more than happy to organise printing of any images taken. This will be discussed in the discussion phase.

WILL I HAVE FULL OWNERSHIP OF THE PHOTOS?

You sure will! I will add them to my website as part of my portfolio and, with your permission, may put a selection of the photos on my social media channels to promote my work, but beyond that, your images won't be distributed to other businesses to use. These are your photos now. They are completely unique to you, and you are free to use them as you wish.

DO YOU WATERMARK YOUR PHOTOS?

I don't. The initial proof photos sent to you will have a watermark while you make sure you are happy with the photos, but when you pay and receive the final photos there will be no watermark or branding on the images whatsoever. This is for your business; you don't want someone else's branding all over it do you! If you feel like you would like to credit me somewhere on your website or magazine etc, that would be really appreciated, but by no means a requirement!​​
